This course will focus on critical thinking, reading and comprehending, and developing proficiency and personal style in writing for various purposes across time and cultures. We will be focusing on how the circumstances and perspectives of peoples and cultures contributed to their worldview and writing style. Students can expect to engage in projects like in-class essays, formal and informal discussions and debates, peer editing, creative vocabulary building, book reports, research projects, skits, speeches, hands-on crafts, plays, and presentations.
